Well, if your dog decides to down half a bag of chocolate chips while you are in the shower, do not panic. And do not bother to call your vet, just refer to this blog post. I already called the vet and this is what they said to do. Get a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide, (if you don't have any, maybe your inlaws/neighbors do). Pry the dog's mouth open and have someone else dump the tablespoon full into his mouth. Unless you enjoy scrubbing dog barf out of your carpets, I recommend doing this all outside. Then stand behind the dog and gently rock him in a sideways motion. I did this for a few minutes, stopped, did it again for a few minutes. It worked!! he not only barfed once, but twice. Hopefully you don't take too long of showers, because timing is crucial and this needs to be done within 30 minutes. Assuming my dog lives, this is a very effective way to get them to throw up, and save their life if they happen to down a lethal amount of chocolate!!

Your funny. This could have came in handy a while back with Wids. She will eat anything, even flower petals and spiders, but chocolate is her fav. She's definitely a girl, ahha. :) Next time I find out that she has been into my secret chocolate stash, I'll know exactly what to do. ;) Thanks for the tip! hehe

Don't you love all those other things that happen to us throughout the day!! I didn't know being a mom also required VET SKILLS!! There is always something new. I am glad Tag is ok..
