Today I am grateful for some very basic, simple things that I think are essential in my house. Super Glue, is a necessity. If your hands get dry and cracked and get those little tiny, but very painful cuts in them, super glue is a must! You just apply a little on the cut, (I try to hold the cut together), and wala-- no more pain!

Duct tape is also a must. The other day I duct taped my belt to my skirt. (the skirt had no belt loops on it, what else was I supposed to do). Jay was sure I was going to have a wardrobe malfunction, but it worked out quite well. One day when I was trying on a particular outfit, my fat rolls were bulging a little too much on the sides, and while standing in front of the mirror I immediately thought of just duct taping around my waist to produce the girdle effect, but I thought it would be better, because with girdles, the fat has to come out somewhere!!! Cheap, quick, easy. My friend Alison assured me it was a terrible idea and suggested I buy a nice pair of Spanx. I didn't have time to buy spanx, I just wore something else, probably in a shade of black.

Biosilk is also a must have for me. If you've looked at my hair for more than 10 seconds, you know I need a lot of this, probably more than I use. My sister lets me know when my hair is really bad, I think the word she uses is "fried", and needs a good trim. Once she told me that maybe I should just shave my head and start over. When you see me with a shaved head, you will know I have taken her advice.

My last and final item is tweezers. I do a lot of hair maintenance on my face, and these and Sally Hansen's wax strips have worked really well for me. See, it really doesn't take a lot to make me happy.

Your to funny! I got a good laugh out of the duct tape! Hey, if it works- it works! We were just saying last night- Uses for duct tape #101- creating a volcano. Kaitlynn's volcano will be indestructible.

I have duct taped body parts in my life. The "getting the tape off" part is what hurts.

Hey I heard that a child of mine, (Karen) waxed her legs with duct tape. Ouch! I think at Lake Powell. Maybe we should write a book, Duct Tape Beauty Secrets. It is an amazing product for lots of things. Lynnette
