Tonight...I'm grateful for so many simple yet profound things in life. I'm grateful that broken hearts can mend. I'm grateful that time heals many wounds. I'm grateful that love lives on forever, and I'm grateful that lives have the capacity to be rebuilt. I'm grateful that I have been blessed enough to know why I am here on earth, where I was before I came here, and where I will go when I die. I'm grateful for the kindness of strangers, and I'm grateful that tragedy brings out the best in most people. I'm grateful for a Savior, who came to earth in the most humble of circumstances and walked among the least of men, teaching, loving, and serving them, in hopes that all men would follow his example. I'm grateful for forgiveness, knowing I can forgive others weaknesses, and hope that others will forgive mine. And I'm grateful for what the human spirit has the ability to endure, and what it has the ability to overcome.

Shaley you have such a wonderful way of expressing yourself. What a talent to have. Thank you for taking all the youth down to SLC yesterday. Abby had such a fun time. I am so grateful for all you leaders and the time you put in on behalf of our children. Thanks for your example of service. I am enjoying reading your gratitude journal. It make me think and ponder about what good I have in my life. A few weeks ago on the spoken word it talked about keeping a gratitude journal and how your live can be enriched with happiness in so many ways. I think we all can have bad days but at the end if we can find one thing to be grateful for the light of happiness can come into our lives. So tonight I am grateful for a great sister-in-law who I have come to love and admire!!!

Shaley, What a beautiful message. The gospel is so simple, if we would all just view it that way and live it. Thank you for reminding me..I love you. Jay is a very lucky guy to have found someone so wonderful! Love Lynnette

You are such a good example of the things you listed on here. You have shone through the hard times that life has thrown at you. I loved this post, it has me in a "deep thought" moment. I need more of those - thanks!
