Texting and driving

So...lately I have seen this so much it has become alarming to me. People texting while they are driving. A couple weeks ago I'm driving down I-15 and look over and this chic next to me is having so much fun texting that I think she was mistaking driving down the interstate for a ride at Disneyland! Then one day I'm pulling off to turn into my house and this girl flies by me texting right above her steering wheel. She was probably only going 70. No need to watch the road. Maybe the cops can show up at their door someday and tell them an inattentive driver has just killed their husband. I know we like to pride ourselves on multitasking, on getting a lot done in a short amount of time, but sometimes I think we forget the 6 or 7 times a day we get behind the wheel of our car how much control we have of peoples lives that are on the road with us. I just don't ever want to have to look someone's mom in the eye and say, well...sorry....I was texting.
