Redfish Lake

Twenty three years ago one of my best friends (still), Sally, invited me to go to Redfish Lake with her family. I had no idea where Redfish Lake was, but my mom let me go, and I spent the next ten days there with her family, falling in love with the place, and knowing it was not just somewhere I wanted to visit, but somewhere I belonged. It's breathtakingly beautiful and also a place where tranquility and adventure go hand in hand and it's up to you to choose what kind of day you're going to have! I feel like part of me is there...and I pick it up every year when I go there and leave it behind when I leave. I think maybe after this year Jay is beginning to understand my connection to the place. Maybe not. I've been there with most of my favorite people over the last twenty three years, and I have more memories there than I could possibly share. What I love most about it, is every 4th of July, some hit and miss....we're pretty much all there. That group of friends I started going there with, and whoever we take along. We're camping and doing our own thing with our families...but we all meet up on the beach pretty much every day. My camera doesn't really do the place justice...and if I could bottle up the smell of the place and bring it back with me, I definately would. We are BIG water people. We love the beach, boating, and if Landon goes on a trip without swimming, he would just as soon not go. But at Redfish Lake my absolute favorite thing to do there is ride my bike. I love to ride my bike anyway, but there's something about riding it on the trails there around that beautiful lake...with those Sawtooth Mountains looming overhead and smelling those lodgepole pines that I couldn't put a value on!! So enjoy a taste of Redfish Lake!!

Keith and I thought about going up there, because we have heard how goregous it is and all, but we weren't sure what we sould find to do. You'll have to tell me where to stay and what to do. It is on my list.
