Well, my baby just turned six. It's fun to see your oldest grow up, learn new things, take on the world, but maybe not so fun for me to see my baby grow up. Every year I use the same old "I'm gonna put a spell on you so you can't get any bigger" and my kids now just roll their eyes like I'm an idiot. Jaxon never did want to be little. I remember when he was born c-section because he was breech his grandma Davis said, "It's because he wanted to hit the ground running." She had no idea how true this saying would prove to be. Was it a blessing or a curse?? I'm not quite sure yet. However, Jaxon keeps us entertained. Of course I didn't get a picture of him with his alien cake, I was videotaping it, and I guess you have to be REALLY good to get both. So we just have pictures of his alien cake.
I did, however, get a picture of his party he had with his friends. (although he's not even looking at me) They had a water party and all had a lot of fun. See Kayla there holding up that nice plastic yellow snake?? This thing will be the death of me (thanks Ann). I'm terrified of snakes, even plastic yellow ones (I KNOW....it's a terrible phobia of mine) and it's always a mistake to let your kids know this. It tends to show up in very random places. Someday it's going to disappear. (thanks again Ann)

LOL! I wish I could take credit for the snake, but Kayla brought the boring spongebob walkie talkies :) We do have our own gross rubber spider that makes regular appearances in my dresser drawers! I hate touching that thing, even though I KNOW it's not real! Thanks again for inviting Kayla! Summer's going by WAY too fast!
